Mount Hasan is an inactive stratovolcano in the Aksaray province of Turkey. With an altitude of 3253 m. it is the second highest mountain in the Central Anatolia plateau.

The closest airport is the Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport, which is located 73 km. northeast of Aksaray. Turkish Airlines has direct flights from Istanbul to Nevşehir, whereas Sunexpress connects the city to Antalya.

Aksaray is situated at the intersection of major highways that connects eastern and southern Turkey with Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa and Izmir. The city is accessible by the D90 motorway linking Bursa and Ankara with Adana and further east. The other major motorway passing through the city is D300, which connects Izmir and Konya with Kayseri, Malatya and Van.

Mount Hasan is easily accessible from north. The ascent starts from the parking site near the village of Helvadere at the altitude of 1720 m. The climb to the summit takes 5-6 hours in a good weather.
Mount Hasan can be climbed in all seasons. Most hikers and climbers prefer summer months but there is a risk of water shortage and extremely hot weather.
No permit is need to climb Mount Hasan. However, it is advisable to inform the local gendarmerie in Aksaray or Helvadere before ascending on the mountain.
Hotel Karbeyaz is the only accommodation facility on the slopes of Mount Hasan. It is 8 km. far from Helvadere village.
