Any Turkish speakers around?
I've just read that 'muslim' in Arabic means 'one who submits'.
The Turkish equivalent of this word is 'musulman' (also used in other languages - Polish). Does it have the same meaning, ie 'one who submits'?Posted 5 years ago # -
I am not sure but it seems logical.Posted 5 years ago #

As it was mentioned in another message, it is not musulman, but \"musluman\" in turkish language. The word is originated by arabic language, there is no pure turkish equivalent.
I am not sure about the meaning of it (but the fact that it denotes a believer of islam religion). As I know it means someone who leaves himself to god.Posted 4 years ago # -

It Turkish, it's more like a concept. The word 'Musluman' refers to people or groups whose religion is Islam.
