   Hi there
   I've always wanted to visit Istanbul. Can somebody tell me when is the best time to visit and the major attractions/events in Istanbul? Thanks in advance.

   Late September is probably the best. After the summer rush and before the cold and rainy winter. Also there are not that many tourists around.

   Definitely try the night life in Beyoglu. It is a complete confusion of all worlds.

   Is November and December also a good time to visit Istanbul? How cold does it get there in the winter months? I am looking for a place to escape the cold of the nothern countries..

   Compared to where you are, Istanbul will not be that cold, but not a whole shiny day is promised during your stay in November or December. For example, it is Nov. the 5th now and the temperature is 15 C. Still really good to go partying in Beyoglu. You should take a look at this link :

   i can recommend you to come like april , may or september or october
   the weather is great than. not too hot and not too cold
