Transportation

How reliable are dolmuses for getting around during the low season (March, particularly)? We'd be using them to travel through Cappadocia and along the Black Sea (Safranbolu, Amasra, etc.). We'd probably take a larger bus to get from one region to the other, so this question pertains more to getting around between smaller cities and towns. Can anyone give me any advice? We'd like to save money by not renting a car, but I want to make sure that it would be worth the savings.

Yes you would save money, but the comfort of being on your own schedule is more important. Using public transportation is reliable, but your schedule must be flexible. You have to wait for a bus and then stop at every spot. Do you have that much time to waste.

Spend a little money and enjoy every moment.

well you cant find that much comfort, especially in the small villages or towns. but they are worth to try.
you will see how nice the turkish people are.
because dolmuses are not the touristic way of transportation in Safranbolu ,Amasra so you will see the real turkish people.
    do it ;D
