tour or no tour

   My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Turkey in february. Neither of us are experienced' travellers as such, especially in non-western countries. We would like to spend between 1 and 2 weeks travelling, seeing the main sights but also having some down time. We like to be semi-organised but are not sure if a scheduled tour is for us.
   Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Is it so hard to organise independantly?

   I would recommend a guide only because you will waste so much time just located the places that you will probably end up fustrated. At least get a daily guide. They work day to day. this way you can have some time by yourselves and sometime to get to know the area.
