To rent or not to rent

   Hi there
   I'm in London and planning a 4 month trip to Turkey.
   
   I dive and plan on diving indifferent place. I'm wondering if I should bring my own gear or rent? Bringing my own gear means lugging an extra bag. but renting means you use stuff you don't know + seems to increase the cost of diving by $20 a shot. Any advice?
   
   Also, I'm planning on spending roughly a month in each region. I'm not into touristy stuff and mostly looking for a nice chilled place to stay and not move around too much. If you have any advice I will be very grateful.

   I have a friend who dives himsely. Skip the most known touristic places. You might want to check Datca.
