    Hello,

I am arriving in Istanbul in mid october in the evening. I wont be able to consult guide book about accomodations until I arrive and would like to be able to find safe, clean place to stay a few nights as I settle in.

Can anyone recommend a place for a single woman traveller? What are general prices for a room? I am thinking clean, basic, central....

    Thanks

I've stayed at the Hali, but I usually stay at the Nena, where all of the rooms have air con. Both Hali & Nena are in Sultanahmet in a good location, within walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. And they are expensive.

I went a couple of years ago (around Easter) time and paid about 15 Euros for the youth hostel in Istanbul, to get a room in a Hotel it is much more. Best thing for you to do is get a rough guide.

I like that people have the courage to go alone but i think i always recommend not to go alone on all inclusive holidays trip.

    HI,

Grand Peninsula, Peninsula, Sebnem, Apricot, Ocean's 7.... there are many places and all are in the same area - all very safe and well located.
The Peninsula demands 40 EUR for a single room and the Grand Peninsula 50 EUR.

The Hanedan demands 40 Eur for a single room.

The Ocean 7 demands 50 Eur.

All rates are for High Season.
