help what do I use to get there

   I'm taking 10 days next spring to travel from Istanbul to Ankara . Would it be best to rent a car and drive or should I take trains/buses? Which is cheaper? Which is easier? All comments appreciated, thanks!

   I wouldnt rent a car just to go from Istanbul to Ankara, if you dont have any other plans.

   You can find buses for almost every hour of the day and the price is reasonable.

   Train is the cheapest and the most fun way.

   Renting a car is not the best way if you are not going to stop on the way and explore some other cities. I'd recommend train. It only takes 5.5 hours from Ankara to Istanbul with a connection at Eskisehir.(Fast rail line from Ankara to Eskisehir, 1.5 hours) If you want direct trains, they take about 7 hours depending on the train you take.
