Day trips in Istanbul

   We will be 7 days in Istanbul and already have the hotel reserved to stay in Sultanamet area those 6 nights. I am trying to find out if there any "day trips" that we should do while there? We don't want to rent any car; we prefer to take tour buses and taxi. Any suggestion in this regard is appreciated

   Take the Bosphorus boat tour. The local one not the touristic ones.

   We prefer "Turkish Raki" but it is OK to buy us a bottle of cold "Efes" beer to keep us working

   Go to the islands with a ferry. Take a bike tour or horse carriage on the island. Dine in one of the fish restaurants.

   Enjoy the sunset at the top of Galata tower.

   Buy a fishing pole and fish like the locals from the Galata bridge. It is a magical experience especially at night.
