  Just to recap………….. After travelling through several parts of the globe with the intent of sleeping in as many ancient sites as possible we find ourselves sleeping in the Hippodrome at the amazing ancient complex of Ephesus in Western Turkey. We awoke the next morning all silently taking in our surroundings.   The countdown has begun and by mid-April, many tourists will have started their journey to the shores of Turkey, albeit in a vastly different way to the war heroes they are here to commemorate. It’s that time of year again when antipodeans all over the world come to pay their respects at Gallipoli for the much celebrated Anzac Day.
